Everything you need to know about Pact's AI-powered functional fitness platform
🚀
Getting Started
Pact is the functional fitness library powered by AI. Simply tell Pact what you want - whether it's a specific workout type (AMRAP, EMOM, Tabata), equipment you have available, or modifications you need - and our AI instantly generates the perfect workout for you. No more scrolling through generic programs or wondering if you're doing the right thing.
Not at all! Pact works with whatever you have. We support over 50 different pieces of equipment, but you can start with just bodyweight exercises. When setting up your profile, simply select what equipment you have access to, and every workout will be tailored to your available gear. You can update this anytime as you add equipment to your home gym.
Think of Pact like the Strava of workouts. Most fitness apps hand you a rigid programme and tell you to follow it. Pact is a platform — an ever-growing library where you explore, create, and share workouts freely. You're not signing up to someone else's plan. You're building your own, on your terms, with your community around you.
Absolutely! Pact adapts to any fitness level. Tell the AI you're a beginner, and it will create appropriate workouts with proper progressions. Every exercise includes video demonstrations, and you can always say "make it easier" or "show me a modification" to adjust any workout to your current ability level.
📈
Weight Tracking & Progressive Overload
Progressive overload — gradually increasing weight, reps, or intensity over time — is the foundation of consistent strength gains. Pact logs every weight you use across every session, so your full progression history is always visible. You can clearly see how your weights have changed week over week for any exercise, making it easy to know when it's time to push heavier.
Yes. Every time you log a workout, Pact records the weights used for each exercise. Over time you build a clear, visual history of your progression — how much you were lifting a month ago versus today. It's all there, easy to see, so you're always in control of your own overload.
Yes! Pact automatically tracks and celebrates your PRs. Every time you hit a new personal best - whether it's weight lifted, reps completed, or time achieved - you'll get a notification. Your PR history is displayed in your profile, showing your strength journey over time. You can filter by exercise, timeframe, and see your most impressive achievements.
Muscular load is a generalised measure of the total effort in a workout — calculated as reps × weight for weighted exercises, or time/distance × weight where relevant. It gives you a single number to compare workouts and track whether your overall training output is trending in the right direction over time.
💪
Workout Types
Pact supports all major functional fitness formats: AMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible), EMOM (Every Minute on the Minute), Tabata (20s on/10s off), For Time workouts, Chipper (complete the list), Ladder (ascending/descending reps), and traditional strength training. We also have specialized Hyrox training and competition simulations.
Every day, Pact releases 6 new workout challenges across different categories: Cross Functional, Hyrox, Gym HIIT, Strength Conditioning, Home Dumbbell HIIT, and Bodyweight. These are the same for all users, so you can compare your times with the entire community. It's like having a new competition every single day!
Yes! You can either tell the AI exactly what you want, or build workouts from scratch using our exercise library. Your custom workouts are saved and can be shared with friends, repeated for progress tracking, or modified by the AI for variety. Popular user-created workouts get upvoted and added to the community library.
Cross Functional is our term for CrossFit-style workouts (we can't use the trademarked name). These combine weightlifting, gymnastics, and metabolic conditioning in constantly varied, high-intensity functional movements. Think box jumps, burpees, Olympic lifts, pull-ups, and more - all combined into challenging WODs (Workouts of the Day).

Equipment & Customization
Pact supports over 50 pieces of equipment including: barbells, dumbbells, kettlebells, pull-up bars, rings, boxes, jump ropes, rowing machines, assault bikes, ski ergs, sleds, medicine balls, resistance bands, TRX, parallettes, and much more. You can specify exactly what you have, and every workout will only use your available equipment.
Yes! You can create multiple equipment profiles - one for home, one for gym, even one for travel. Just switch profiles based on where you're training, and Pact will generate appropriate workouts. You can also save favorite workouts for each location.
After each workout, you can log the exact weight used for every exercise. Pact remembers this and suggests appropriate weights for future workouts. You'll see your progression over time, and the AI uses this data to ensure progressive overload in your training programs.
Every exercise includes a detailed video demonstration. You can also ask the AI for alternatives - "Show me an easier version" or "What can I do instead of pull-ups?" The app includes coaching cues for proper form and common mistakes to avoid.
👥
Social & Competition
You can follow friends and see their completed workouts, including their times, weights used, and total muscular load (reps × weight). Challenge them to beat your time on any workout, or compete on the daily challenges. It's real competition based on actual performance, not gamified points.
Muscular load is a generalised measure of total workout effort — calculated as reps × weight, or time/distance × weight. It lets you compare workouts fairly even when people are lifting different weights, making it a useful metric for tracking and competing on overall output rather than just time.
Yes! Any workout you complete or create can be shared with a simple link. Friends can then attempt the same workout and compare times. You can also share entire workout programs, perfect for training partners or coaches working with clients.
Yes! Every daily challenge has a global leaderboard showing the fastest times and highest muscular loads. You can filter by friends only, your gym, or globally. There are also monthly challenges with special recognition for top performers.
📈
Progress & Tracking
Pact tracks everything: workout frequency, total volume, personal records, strength gains, workout times, and consistency streaks. You'll see visual graphs of your progress over time, including strength curves for individual exercises and improvements in workout capacity.
Yes! Set goals like "Run a 5K," "Complete Murph," "Deadlift 2x bodyweight," or "Work out 5x per week." Pact creates milestone-based programs to get you there and tracks your progress along the way. The AI adjusts your training based on how quickly you're progressing toward your goals.
Pact includes built-in timers for every workout format — rest timers between sets, exercise timers for time-based work, interval timers for HIIT, and EMOM timers that count down each minute. They sync automatically with the workout so you can stay focused on training rather than watching the clock.
Yes. All your completed workouts are stored in your profile with full details — exercises, sets, reps, weights, and times. You can scroll back through your history at any time to review past sessions and track how you've progressed.
